Publication Polices
Dama Academic Scholarly & Scientific Research Society (DASSRS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity, scholarly excellence, and publication ethics. These publication policies govern the editorial, peer review, and authorship processes for all DASSRS journals, conference proceedings, and affiliated publications.
Scope and Objectives
The primary objective of DASSRS publications is to disseminate original, high-quality, and impactful scholarly and scientific research. All works must contribute to the advancement of knowledge and practice in their respective fields.
Originality and Plagiarism
- Submissions must be the original work of the author(s) and must not have been previously published or currently under consideration by another journal or publisher.
- All manuscripts are subject to plagiarism screening. A similarity index of more than 15% may result in automatic rejection.
- DASSRS follows strict anti-plagiarism policies in line with COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) guidelines.
Peer Review Process
- DASSRS applies a double-masked peer review process to ensure fairness, objectivity, and scholarly rigour.
- Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent experts in the field.
- The editorial team ensures timely feedback and transparent communication during the review process.
Authorship and Contributions
- Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the conception, design, execution, or interpretation of the research.
- All authors must approve the final manuscript before submission.
- Changes in authorship (addition, removal, or rearrangement) after submission must be justified and approved by all co-authors.
Conflict of Interest
- Authors, reviewers, and editors must disclose any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the objectivity of the work or its evaluation.
- Financial, personal, or professional affiliations that could bias judgment must be transparently declared.
Ethical Compliance
- Research involving human participants or animals must adhere to established ethical standards and include appropriate ethical clearance documentation.
- Informed consent must be obtained and stated in the manuscript where applicable.
Data Availability and Reproducibility
- Authors should retain and, where possible, make research data accessible to promote transparency and reproducibility.
- Authors may be required to provide raw data during the review process or post-publication.
Copyright and Licensing
- Upon acceptance, authors must sign a copyright transfer agreement or publish under an appropriate open-access license.
- DASSRS supports open-access publication models and encourages free access to published content for the global research community.
Retractions and Corrections
- DASSRS reserves the right to retract published articles in cases of proven academic misconduct, ethical violations, or significant errors.
- Minor corrections may be published as errata or corrigenda to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
Publication Fees and Waivers
- A publication or processing fee may apply for accepted manuscripts, depending on the specific journal or conference.
- Fee waivers or discounts may be granted for students, early-career researchers, or authors from low-income regions.
Post-Publication Rights
- Authors retain non-exclusive rights to distribute and use their published work for teaching, institutional repositories, and personal websites with proper citation.
- DASSRS encourages the responsible sharing of published articles by copyright laws.
Misconduct and Complaints
- DASSRS takes academic misconduct (e.g., plagiarism, falsification, duplicate submission) seriously.
- Allegations of misconduct or formal complaints about the publication process can be submitted to the editorial office and will be investigated promptly and confidentially.
Editorial Independence
- Editors are expected to make publication decisions based solely on the academic merit of submissions, free from commercial or political influence.
- The editorial board operates independently and is committed to upholding the integrity of the peer review and publishing process.
