Guidelines for Authors
Dama Academic Scholarly & Scientific Research Society (DASSRS) invites high-quality scholarly contributions from researchers, academics, and professionals worldwide. Authors are encouraged to adhere strictly to the following guidelines to ensure a smooth and efficient review and publication process.
Manuscript Submission
- All manuscripts must be submitted electronically via the official DASSRS submission portal or designated email address (editor@damaacademia.com).
- Submissions must be original, unpublished work and not under consideration elsewhere.
- Authors must identify the journal, conference, or publication outlet for which they are submitting their manuscript.
Manuscript Format
- Language: Manuscripts must be written in clear, concise English (British or American, but consistent throughout).
- Font: Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced.
- Length: Generally, manuscripts should be between 4,000 and 8,000 words, including references, tables, and figures.
- Margins: 1 inch (2.54 cm) on all sides.
Structure of the Manuscript
The manuscript should be organised as follows:
- Title Page: Title of the paper, author(s) name(s), affiliation(s), email address(es), and ORCID iD(s) (if applicable).
- Abstract: A concise summary outlining the purpose, methodology, key findings, and implications.
- Keywords: 4–12 relevant keywords.
- Introduction: Background, problem statement, objectives, and significance of the study.
- Literature Review: Overview of relevant existing research.
- Methodology: Detailed description of research design, data collection, and analysis methods.
- Results/Findings: Presentation and explanation of research results.
- Discussion: Interpretation, implications, and comparison with previous studies.
- Conclusion and Recommendations: Summary of key insights, limitations, and suggestions for future research.
- References: APA 7th edition citation style must be used consistently.
- Appendices (if applicable): Supplementary materials, such as survey instruments and data tables.
Tables and Figures
- All tables and figures must be clearly labelled and numbered (e.g., Table 1, Figure 2).
- Include a brief descriptive title and source (if applicable).
- Place each table or figure close to its first reference in the text.
Referencing Style
- Use APA 7th Edition referencing style throughout the manuscript.
- Ensure all in-text citations have corresponding entries in the reference list and vice versa.
- DOI or URL should be provided for online sources where applicable.
Plagiarism and Ethical Compliance
- All submissions must be original and will be screened using plagiarism detection software.
- Manuscripts with a similarity index above 15% may be rejected.
- Authors are responsible for obtaining permissions for any third-party material (e.g., charts, images, data).
Peer Review Process
- All submitted manuscripts will undergo a double-masked peer review by at least two independent reviewers.
- Authors will be notified of acceptance, rejection, or revisions required within 4–6 weeks of submission.
- Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted within the stipulated timeframe with a detailed response to reviewers' comments.
Publication Fees
- Dama Academic Scholarly & Scientific Research Society charges a modest amount for publication fees of $100 per article, which is Non-Refundable. All authors are entitled to receive a complimentary copy.
- DASSRS may offer waivers or discounts for students or authors from developing countries.
Copyright and Licensing
- Upon acceptance, authors will be required to sign a copyright transfer or open-access license agreement, depending on the publication format.
- Authors retain the right to use their published work for teaching and institutional repositories with appropriate citation.
Author Responsibilities
- Ensure that all listed authors have significantly contributed to the research and approved the final manuscript.
- Disclose any conflicts of interest or funding sources.
- Promptly notify the editorial office of any errors discovered post-submission or post-publication.
