Abstract This research will bring to the fore, the main reasons for outsourcing transport logistics. The study will also bring out the challenges associated with outsourcing. The study will contribute to existing literature on outsourcing transport logistics. The study will whip up corporate interest in outsourcing transport logistics. Moreover, the research is an academic requirement for the award of a postgraduate degree. The recommendations will assist policy makers to address the challenges of outsourcing transport logistics in Ghana. This section discussed the research design, population and sampling, the instruments for collecting data, the procedure for gathering data and the method for data analysis. Both primary and secondary data were used for the study. Primary data is usually received from first-hand sources. Primary data is information collected by the researcher purposely for the study. Primary data was collected through the administration of questionnaires. Questionnaires are preprinted forms designed to capture information from respondents. Secondary data refers to data which is collected for other purposes but can be used for the study. Secondary data is used to gain insight into the research problem.
